You could just have both of you balanced in Attack and Defence, This does increase your survivabitly. The reason you have this is so that the other player can put all his/her points into Damage and kill all the things attacking the tank. he will be able to withstand a lot of hits. It's simple the tank gets everyone to attack him and becasue he wears gear spec'd with ressistances and health regen ect. Finally, Shadowling Ammo and Death Ritual are very useful to most builds because they provide melee minions to tie up monsters giving you more time to shoot at them. Its high mana costs also make it difficult to use as a primary attack. Glaive Throw was once a fantastic source of damage, but has now been nerfed down to simply a good choice.
